Mr. Black has extensive experience in virtually every aspect of the Behavioral Health industry. He has directed inpatient hospital based programs including mental health programs for geriatric, adults, children, and adolescents. Mr. Black has implemented and directed inpatient hospital based chemical dependency programs. He has start-up and executive leadership experience in a free standing hospital for geriatric mental health. Many of the organizations included ambulatory services for mental health and chemical dependency. While Mr. Black has deep experience in all aspects of Behavioral Health, he also has extensive experience in the areas of financial management, marketing and has been involved in physical plant build-out projects on two occasions. Team building and physician relations are also strengths. Virtually all of Mr. Black’s many years of Behavioral Health experience have been in hospitals and hospital systems, large and small. In the course of his career he has had the opportunity to broaden and diversify his hospital-based knowledge and skill set in the areas of Clinical Laboratory Services, Senior Services, and Occupational Health. A Master’s degree in Healthcare Management has given him a sound theoretical base for operational management, while a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology has provided him with a similar base in the area of Behavioral Health.
